Connect Slash Trace to Claude
Ask Claude what your clients are hiring for, without opening this app.
Slash Trace is a remote MCP server. Once connected, Claude can see the careers pages you track, search the roles on them, tell you what has appeared since you last looked, and add or remove boards for you, in a normal conversation.
Before you start
You need a Slash Trace account with a verified email address. The connector reads the boards on your own list, so it has nothing to show until you have added at least one. Adding boards through Claude counts against your plan limit exactly as it does in the app.
Connect it
Claude web, desktop and mobile
- Open Customize › Connectors using the button above.
- Choose Add custom connector and paste the server URL:
- Claude opens a Slash Trace sign-in page. Approve the connection there.
On a Claude Team plan, members who cannot enable connectors themselves see a Request button instead, which sends it to an administrator to approve.

Run this in your terminal, then /mcp to authenticate:
Signing in
The connection is authorised with OAuth 2.0. Your password is never shared with Claude. You sign in on our page and Claude receives an access token, which you can revoke at any time from Settings. Revoking it disconnects Claude and leaves your account and your boards untouched.
What it can do
- List tracked boards (Reads): Every careers page on your list, with how many roles are open on each and when it was last read.
- Search roles (Reads): Searches roles across every board you track, by title and location.
- What's new (Reads): The roles that have appeared since you last looked.
- Track a company (Writes): Adds a careers page to your list. Give it a company domain and it finds the board itself.
- Stop tracking a company (Writes): Removes a board from your list. The board and its history survive, because other accounts may track the same page.
What it cannot do
The connector reaches your boards and the roles on them, and nothing else. It has no access to billing or payment details, no access to any account but yours, and no admin access. It cannot read your Claude conversations, your memory or your files.

Troubleshooting
- Claude sees no boards. The connector reads your own list. Add a careers page in the app first.
- Sign-in fails. Verify your email address first. An unverified account can reach the verification screen and nothing else.
- A board is listed but has no roles. Either it is still being read for the first time, or it is past your plan's limit and is waiting on an upgrade. The app says which.
